Today's global commercial aviation is in a process of rapid growth while the airport infrastructure is struggling to keep up with the subsequent increasing demand for passenger capacities. New airports are being built worldwide and existing unused infrastructure such as inoperative airfields that are scattered all over the world and are often located near big cities or major urban clusters are being reactivated. Hence the airside facilities are often available while appropriate passenger handling facilities are lacking.
All over the world airports need to bridge capacity shortages, be it due to terminal renovations and the building of new terminals, seasonality or major events in their catchment area that temporarily make increased passenger capacities necessary.
The terminal concept of TMT The Mobile Terminal® was especially developed to meet these demands quickly and flexibly.
